Compare Islam and Teaching of Jesus ( *peace be upon him )?
1. Belief in One God
- Bible: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” (Deuteronomy 6:4 & Mark 12:29)
- Quran: “Say: He is Allah, the One.” (Quran: Al-Ikhlas 112:1)
➡️ Both religions teach monotheism: Worship The Creator — Not The Creation
2. Love and Respect for Jesus
(Peace be upon him)
- Bible: Jesus is called the Messiah, a prophet, and servant of God.
- Quran: “The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah...” (Surah An-Nisa 4:171)
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Whoever testifies there is no god but Allah... and Jesus is the servant of Allah... will enter Paradise.”
(Muslim)
3. Judgment Day & Afterlife
- Bible: “We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ...” (2 Corinthians 5:10)
- Quran: “Whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it. And whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.” (Surah Az-Zalzalah 99:7–8)
➡️ Both scriptures teach accountability for our actions and a clear Day of Judgment.
4. Heaven and Hell
- Bible: Paradise and Hell are described in the teachings of Jesus and Revelation.
- Quran: “Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow...” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:25)
5. Angels and Spirits
- Bible: Mentions Gabriel, Michael, and others sent by Allah.
- Quran: Describes Gabriel bringing revelation, and angels recording our deeds.
6. Mary Mother of Jesus
(Peace Be To Them)
- Bible: Mary is honored as the virgin mother of Jesus.
- Quran: “O Mary, Allah has chosen you above all women of the worlds.” (Surah Aal-Imran 3:42)
➡️ The Quran even has an entire chapter named after Mary — Surah Maryam (Chapter 19).
7. Doing Good to Others
- Bible: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Mark 12:31)
- Quran: “Allah commands justice, good conduct, and giving to relatives...” (An-Nahl 16:90)
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim)
8. Return of Jesus
(Peace be upon him)
- Bible: Teaches the second coming of Jesus.
- Hadith: “By Him in Whose Hand is my soul, surely the son of Mary will descend among you...”
🕊️ Main Difference?
- Christians worship Jesus, believing he is God, or a part of God.
- Muslims follow Jesus, the prophet — but they worship One God, like Jesus did.
Quran* of Islam** corrects the changes in the Bible calling people back to the same original message:
Worship the Creator — Not His Creation
*Quran is Arabic - means: Reciting - Phophets heard messages sent, and recited to their followers
*Islam is Arabic - means: Peace, Submission, Surrender, Obey, Sencere, Safety, Protection
