or Blind Heart?

The first completely blind wrestler from Canada accepted Islam - and now he "sees" the world for what it really is.

Jerome Claire (now Abul Malik Abu Hafsa), from Nova Scotia, Canada now living in Toronto, came to Islam only a few years ago.

Already he has learned to "read" the Quran in Braille script, memorized it and now is a rectier of Quran in Ramadan and regularly gives the Friday sermon (Khutbah Jummah) in mosques around the world.

Amazaing is this man. Bur more amazing is the guidance given to him by Almighty God. Even since birth his understanding of life has been clear and in many ways, he "sees" with his heart better than most sighted people do even thought they might have 20/20 vision.

Consider this story he tells about his first experience in school. The teacher told him he would not be able to do certain things with the other children because he was 'blind'. When he went home he asked his mother, "What is blind?" His mother asked him where he heard this word. "My teacher said I was blind". His mother told him, "You are not blind - you just can't see"

The difference between not being able to see and being blind becomes more crystal clear as you listen and learn from this amazing Muslim. His story to Islam and how his experiences along the way will give you much to consider and appreciate even more what Allah has given all of us.
