Christianity Using Military to Spreading Religion?

U.S. Soldiers Spreading Christian Faith in Afghanistan
Compare Real Islam - To - Real Christianity (today)
"Be Witnesses For Jesus And Hunt Them Down" - Says Commander

What is the difference between the early Christians spreading their beiefs and today's Christian Soldiers?

Active ImageLook at our U.S. soldiers promoting their religion to the people in Afghanistan - and the early Christians following Paul's orders to go spread the word for Jesus to the Roman empire.

For one thing, the US military has the most letahl weapons in the history of the world. An easy task to force ideas of faith on an illiterate population. The first Christians were more like the humble villagers of Norther Pakistan and Afghanistan, with little if anything of the material world.

According to well documented news reports, the U.S. Soldiers are being encouraged to spread the message of their Christian faith among Afghanistan’s predominantly Muslim population.   Aljazeera showed Military chaplains stationed in the U.S. air base at Bagram with Bibles printed in the country’s main Pashto and Dari languages.

In one recorded sermon, Lt. Col. Gary Hensley, the chief of the U.S. military chaplains in Afghanistan, is seen telling Soldiers that ...

Shafiq Ullah vividly recalls the night he fled his home. "The helicopters came close over us, growing louder," the silver-bearded farmer says, in quick, panicked breaths.
"I could see the bombs firing from cannons come down on the nearby houses. I saw one house destroyed completely. We waited at first, but then decided to leave. It was dangerous, but we had no choice. I was too afraid to stay there."
Clasping the hands of his children, Mr Ullah walked for two hours from his home in Ambela - the scene of some of the fiercest fighting between Pakistani forces and Taliban fighters - to the relative safety of a mosque in Goga village.
Along the way, they encountered scenes that still haunt him. "It was awful. I saw pregnant women losing their babies, at least three of them. There were also ordinary people's dead bodies lying on the road, and dogs eating their flesh."
Mr Ullah is not alone. With the Pakistani military locked in a crucial battle against hundreds of Taliban fighters, tens of thousands of civilians are estimated to have fled the fighting.

Obama Adding 60,000 Troops to Afghanistan

Pentagon to Get "Tough" On Taliban
Afghanistan War Front Needs Fresh Ideas

President Obama released plans to increase troop levels in Afghanistan by some 60,000 by the end of the year. This comes as the Commander of NATO Forces, General David McKieman was fired and replaced by General McChrstal and is very similar to what occured just before the troop surge of 2007 in Iraq. General George Casey had been relieved of his command in Iraq, and he was replaced by General David Petraeus right before the infamous troop surge that put down the violence in Iraq.

After the Commander of Nato forces in Afghanistan, General David McKiernan, was fired by the Defense Secretary Robert Gates, both the White House and the Pentagon indicated they are looking for fresh ideas in the increasingly tough Afghanistan war front.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, had confirmed ...

Sri Lanka: "Victory Over Rebels"

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka – The president of this island country has declared Sri Lanka to be at last, "Liberated from sparatist terror". This comes today (Tuesday) as the state owned TV is broadcasting pictures of the leader of the Hindu Tamils body - taken from the battlefield.

Even in his victory speech to parliament, the president was obviously reaching out to the Tamils, who Active Imagerebels had said - they were working to make a homeland for themselves. He also referred to promises of working out a deal to share in restructuriing a power agreement with the Tamils.

"It is our intention to save the Tamil peoples from cruel grip of them (the rebels). We must all live like equals in our free country," (translated from Tamil).

At the same time the TV station was broadcasting video a dead body appearing like the rebel leader, still wearing the camouflage uniform and laying in the grass on a stretcher. The  eyes of the corpse were seen staring upwards and there was a cloth over part of the head, likely to cover wound.
