Homosexuals? What Does Islam Really Say?

Are UK Muslims Less Tolerant of "Gays" - Than Other European Muslims?
A Poll Says "Yes"

U.K. --  According to a recent poll, the Muslims of the United Kingdom seem to be much less tolerant of the idea of Muslims becoming "gays" (homosexuals) than the Muslims of other European countries, France in particular.
Out of one thousand and one Muslims interviewed, not one accepted homosexual acts to be appropriate. While surprising to some, this clearly indicates British Muslims to be more adherent to the simple and basic interpretations of Islamic teachings.
This has liberals and modernists in an uproar, claiming the UK is home to the "Most orthodox and backward Islam in the world".

Homosexuals and their supporters say Jews, Christians and Muslims who do not consider homosexuality as being O.K. are "homophobic". One claims that, "Islam does not have established reform movements, making it too easy for orthodox Islam to be spread."

Moving Troops Around in Iraq

Today (June 30) is the date set for moving U.S. combat troops from Iraq's cities to surrounding areas. The whole idea of moving combat troops around is to give the appearance of progress in helping to secure Iraq's future.

The idea is to have more "low-key" operation. As one Muslim said, "It is not a major hijrah - only a minor one" for them.

The US will still have training forces in cities, but...

NEW YORK EXPLODES: Millions Watch (2 Muslims suffer)

(click Read more for larger images)

NEW YORK - 22 tons of fireworks exploded Saturday night over 1 1/2 miles of the Hudson River, offering a great view for New York's millions of spectators. But these were explosions of a "friendly nature" lighting up the night sky in the "Big Apple" - New Yorkers thrill to the multi-color displays shooting more than 1,000 feet in the air.

But not everyone was having fun though. Among the millions there, were two Muslims, Jamalat Bayoumy and his wife, Mosad Mohamad — they were there trying to make a living, selling food for the crowd to enjoy while they watched the fireworks near the river.

But they were ordered by police to shut down because of the large crowd there. They lost an estimated $1,000 in business when police asked them to shut down because of swelling crowds. Pray for them.
