Recently, Sheikh Charkawi was attacked by a lady driving a car into him, allegedly targeted by Kelly Farrugia, who allegedly attempted to run him down near Granville Boys High School, where he serves as a student support officer.
Farrugia has been charged with intimidation and common assault over this incident, as well as with publicly threatening violence on religious grounds, offensive behavior, using offensive language, and intimidation related to a separate incident at a Kmart in Bankstown.
She has been released on strict conditional bail and is scheduled to return to court in January. - Daily Telegraph
