Bill Cosby Muslim Words - LOL
Los Angeles, CA - UPDATE March 7, 2015 Saturday - Bill Cosby Met Yusuf Estes & Learns Islamic Terms 0ver 0ne year ago!
Last March (one year ago) Yusuf Estes met up with famous actor and children's hero, Bill Cosby while on layover in L.A. and began his first lesson in understanding Muslims and the Islamic greeting.
They discussed Islamic greetings briefly on camera, after they had traveled hundreds of miles in the same plane only one seat apart. Then made a quick video as Cosby got his first exposure to the Muslim greetings and Arabic language of Islam, from Sheikh Estes.
Estes has long traveled around the world sharing the peaceful message of Islam in the English language with people of all walks of life.
Here's what Estes said about the video (below):
"I wanted our viewers to see how to give the message of Islam to folks so I turned on the camera and then asked Bill Cosby, 'Do you know what SALAM ALAYKUM means'?
And then the fun began - I felt like I was back in the old show biz days - He really is a wonderful comedian, clowning it up - LOL
He says, 'No'. So I say, 'You ever heard of that?'
He says, 'Not yet'.
'Well, that's what Muslims say when they greet each other. PEACE (salam)', I said.
He says, 'Yes' And I say, 'This is GUIDE US TV.'
He says, 'Did we do it yet?'
I say, 'Well, we partly did it' (saying PEACE or SALAM on camera).
Bill Cosby says, 'OK, let's do the rest'
So, with the camera going, I say it all again - 'SALAM ALAYKUM!'
Then true to his nature, and with a straight face - he just says, 'YES'
LOL! What a character. I could see no matter what I said, he could make it funny - AND HE DID.
"YOU TRY TO GET HIM TO SAY IT ON CAMERA! - LOL"

I get the impression Mr. Cosby was making sure the video and audio could not be manipulated or 'cut' to portray that he had become a Muslim or was in the process of doing so.
The "entertainment industry" does not tolerate positive Muslim role models. Insha'Allah this will change, but as of now, only Allah could prevent them from destroying the reputation, career and livelihood of any well-known personality who openly embraced Islam.
And Allah knows best.
He was the same way with Yusuf Estes last month while learning about the PEACE of ISLAM.

I agree with you 100% because we see Bill Cosby now being 'ATTACKED' by the 'Talking Heads' of Anti-Islam MEDIA.
Already on TV we see the ISLAM-O-PHOBs speaking out against Bill Cosby, even though he has not made shahadah yet.
May Allah protect him from these people and guide him the rest of the way to Islam, ameen.

Salam alaykum, GREAT IDEA - But I did not have one with me at the time. I believe a lot of famous people read these articles because when I meet them they say they have seen things online that I wrote.

perhaps he should talk to other muslim celebs.
I request all who want to do the serious dawah, to learn some meanings of Arabic common words we use every day and then share this with English speakers. It really does make a difference, inshallah. And of course ask Allah to guide these people.
