To Whom It May Concern at Staples:
re: We Are No Longer "EASY" for Staples

I live across the street from your store in Alexandria, Virginia on Route1 from Staples. I have been a regular customer with Staples for years.

We have purchased furniture, computers, laptops, paper and office supplies and printers. Always they have tried to sell me their warranty. Only once did I buy one.
Too bad for me.

Today, July 12, 2011, I took my printer in with the warranty to have them help me find why it stopped printing in color. (Yes, I had purchased color inks and tried that - it still won't work).

As soon as I produced the warranty paper, they told me to go call the 800 number and proceeded to the next customer, as though they didn't even know us anymore.

Understand, we have been in there many times on a monthly basis for years. Yet, we were treated like beggars.

Anyway, when we tried the 800 number, no success - not even to put us on hold. You have to go to the website first.

We went to the website, no success...

This time we spent a very long time trying to make sure we put all of the long numbers in the right places. Even after getting help to make sure it was all correct, it still would not accept the information.

Out of all the categories to chose from, there are many - but none of them for computers or printers. So, it would not take it. We tried all the other categories - still would not work.

Back to the phone - no help at all.

So, 200 dollars for a printer and 30 more for a "warranty" - down the drain.

Now we understand more about Staples slogan - "THAT WAS EASY"
I guess we were TOO EASY.
Too easy - to get our money and too easy - to dump us when there was a problem.

It was not EASY for us. Our websites and Facebook page are going to have this story tonight.

So, please - don't email us any more of your "OFFERS"...

Because, we are no longer -- "EASY"

P.S. By the way, I checked online and was not surprised to find so many others who were "EASY" for Staples too!
