Discuss Ground Zero Mosque..

WASHINGTON (FinalCall.com) - The newly formed Coalition of African Muslims held a press conference on September 2, 2010 at the prestigious National Press Club in Washington DC to address the controversy regarding the proposed building of an Islamic Center near Ground Zero in New York. The coalition members believe that the voice of Black American Muslims has been left out of the discussion.
The speakers were: Abdul Jalil Muhammad, Akbar Muhammad , Nisa Islam Muhammad, Imam Zaid Shakir of the Zaytuna Institute, Mahdi Bray executive director of Muslim American Society Freedom, Asma Hanif, Imam Abdul Malik of Islam on Capitol Hill, Imam Siraj Wahhaj, amir of the Muslim Alliance in North America (MANA) and the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam.

“Muslims are here. We are not terrorists,” said Minister Farrakhan. “We will not allow anyone on our watch to do some silly act to deprive an innocent human being of their life. And if we see it, we’ll stop it. We will arrest them.” he said.

As an answer to the question, certainly NO. Once you are a true muslim (perceiving your identity within the Sunnah limits), then it is easy to be aware of any deviation or innovation. I realy think such innovations don't come into existence innocently. They are designed. But they don't pass unseen, leaving the true faith solidified against them. This dynamic is unique to this religion, I believe.

I totally am against Muslims forming groups like yours by their color. There is only one Muslim Ummah. Group like yours want to divide Muslims. You're a political
organization not a religious one. Call yourselves African or whatever. We do not need this confusion in Islam.
