Israel says they are allowing the largest shipment of construction materials into Gaza since its deadly raid on an international flotilla last May.
Guy Inbar, spokesperson for Israeli military, has said 250 tons of pipes, iron and other materials began to enter today (Monday, September 13).
But now - The Rest of the Story - All this material, according to the same spokesperson, is only to be used - To upgrade a Gaza City waste treatment plant.
Gaza water official Maher Najjar says the upgraded plant will be able to treat 20 million gallons of waste a day, almost double the current level.
However, some have commented that while this lift on the blockade is long overdue, it actually offers very little help for the actual day to day needs within Gaza.
"Medications of any kind are almost impossible to obtain and even emergency medical supplies and equipment are simply not available anywhere" - say local residents through phone conversations to UK.
Others complain there is only focus on waste water treatment and question the need for waste treatment facility when there is no food or drink.
