That's Right! - www.YouTubeIslam.com - the number one site for uploading Islamic videos also was down the last few days of Ramadan.
Members and visitors to the site were surprised to see their familiar site normally packed with Islamic videos showing nothing but an "error message" page.
But as usual, Allah Subhannah wa Ta'ala has granted the dua of the Muslims and now the site is back up and back better than ever before. Al Hamdulillah. That is the word that keeps coming up - "Praise to Almighty God!" and we do thank Him for His Mercy and for His Guidance, Al Hamdulillah." - says Sheik Yusuf, director for YouTubeIslam.com (and many other websites as well).

Why use a name like "YouTube Islam?" Some have opined it would be better to use a name that is not similar to the non-Muslim websites.
Sheik Yusuf Estes has countered with his opinion saying the instant popularity of the site and identification with users around the world far exceeds any arguement to the contrary.
"YouTubeIslam.com" has attracted more visitors in the last few months and raised the status of all our other sites connected with our dawah program than all the other sites put together. We have thousands of members and hundreds of thousands of visitors on a regular basis. This is a fact that makes it clear to me, the name works and brings both Muslims and none Muslims to the site" says Sheik Yusuf
Another discussion about the site policy of not giving instant approval to new videos has developed, to which Sheik Yusuf replied, "We do not want anything on the site that is against the teachings of Islam, or that attacks other people or is offensive."
Others have countered the members should be given the right to decide for themselves what they would like to upload and the visitors should be left to decide which programs they would like to watch. Sheik Yusuf replied, "There are plenty of sites like that already and we don't need to make ours in the same style or pattern. We have a goal of showing true Islam while at the same time allowing our members the maximum amount of consideration for their various styles and ways of sharing things of Islam."
Seems the whole series of sites dealing with Islamic videos and audios have been suffering. The prices for server space, costs of maintance and bringing in and training new people is very costly.
According to Yusuf Estes, the site had to remain down until he could arrange for payment to the hosting companies and replacing the older version of the software. More prayers are needed here too.
