"A man who set himself on fire in from of the embassy for Israel, in Washington, D.C."
What really happened outside Israel's Embassy today?
Secret Service spokesperson says, “It looked like someone set themselves on fire".
He is in critical condition, according to multiple law enforcement agencies.
U.S. Secret Service says it was responding to reports of an individual experiencing a possible medical or mental health emergency. Local police arrived around 1 p.m. ET.
The fire has since been extinguished. Israeli Embassy in D.C. says none of their staff got injured.
The man was transported to a local hospital, where he is experiencing, "critical life threatening injuries."
No one came forward yet to identify the man or if he is representing some organization. Also, they have not determened and motives, thus far.
Someone said they noticed burns on the ground near the embassy lawn, a place where Israeli flags adorn the yard, representing those killed or taken hostage by the Hamax organization in Palestine.
