Holy Month of Rajab

Rajab, the 7th month of the lunar (moon calendar) used by Muslims, is regarded as a sacred month (Al-Ashhur Al-Hurum). Battles were always forbidden in this month.
Rajab comes before the month of Shaban, and then comes Ramadan (so start fasting now to get ready).
Our prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, would recite a beautiful dua (prayer) when the moon of the month of Rajab was sighted:
"O Allah, make the months of Rajab and Sha'ban blessed for us, and let us reach the month of Ramadan (i.e. prolong our life up to Ramadan, so that we may benefit from its merits and blessings)."
Fasting, extra salat and thikr are always recommended, but no specific type of worship has been prescribed by the Quran and hadith of Muhammad, peace be upon him, for the month of Rajab.
