A United Nations report discloses an amazing terrorist massacre taking place everyday, in different parts of Africa, but it is not led by Al Qaida, nor are there any claims coming from the Taliban claiming responsibility for these gross crimes against humanity.
In fact, the Muslims are clearly the victims here, while the Christians are themselves the terrorists.
Last December the LRA killed nearly 300 villagers and kidnapped roughly 250 more, 80 of which were children.
In addition to genocide, the UN estimates the LRA is responsible for nearly 8600 rapes last year alone.
The LRA, lead by Joseph Kony, launched their attacks nearly 20 years ago and have not relented. They claim their motivation is to uphold the 10 Commandments.
The UN reports that as recently as two months ago, a Christian terrorist group that calls themselves the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) brutally massacred 100 villagers in the Congo. Victims not killed suffered maiming and facial mutilation. Extremists severed the lips and one ear of one Cornelia Yekpalile, a 23 year-old mother of four, when she went to collect food for her children.
From an Islamic standpoint, the LRA are the lowest of the low. The Holy Qur'an condemns the killing of even a single innocent person, and likens such a murder equal to killing all mankind.
Moreover, the LRA is an insult to the honor and dignity of Jesus Christ, peace be upon him, both in the Bible and the Quran. According to both, violence and killing are unacceptable. Rather, there is a message of peace in the Bible encouraging followers to "turn the other cheek." The Bible teaches "Treat others as you would have them treat you." - Matthew 7:12.
The Holy Qur'an also affirms the true and sincere nature of Jesus Christ: "Then We caused Our Messengers to follow in their footsteps; and We caused Jesus, son of Mary, to follow them, and We gave him the Gospel. And We placed in the hearts of those who accepted him compassion and mercy." (57:28)
The LRA is clearly devoid of any compassion or mercy. Their very actions demonstrate that they have nothing to do with the true teachings of Jesus Christ. Prayers go out to the victims of these atrocities.
