Music?

On Guide US TV?

ISLAM NEWSROOM UPDATE: Sunday, March 29, 2015

Why Was There Music Last Night on Guide US TV?

Many ask us about "music in Islam":

  • Is it 'haram'?
  • What is permitted (halal)?
  • What is the evidence for any ruling?

We have many articles about what is HALAL and what is HARAM with music, singing, harmonizing and expressing the spiritual side of faith.

What are the proofs about this from Quran and Sunnah (way of Muhamad, peace be upon him).

Here is a link to read - and after tonight's LIVE show on www.GuideUS.TV/live you will see what we came up with for more answers:

You must leave your comments so we can give you links today... inshallah...

These verses represent the inspiration behind a new song written and preformed by a new convert Muslim, who used to be a gospel singer. He traveled all over the United States singing and sharing the emotional feelings that come with the spirit of music....

Today he does it all, but WITHOUT MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS...

Here's the meaning more or less we find similar to the words in our brother Yusuf Meek's song in last night's LIVE broadcast on Guide US TV . . .

6:161

162. Say, "Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path – a correct religion – the way of Abraham, inclining toward truth. And he was not among those who associated others with Allah."
162
163. Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds.
163
164. No partner has He. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first [among you] of the Muslims."
164
164. Say, "Is it other than Allah I should desire as a lord while He is the Lord of all things? And every soul earns not [blame] except against itself, and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you concerning that over which you used to differ."
165
165. And it is He who has made you successors upon the earth and has raised some of you above others in degrees [of rank] that He may try you through what He has given you. Indeed, your Lord is swift in penalty; but indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful.
